ABOUT US

Who are we?

Prison Break Brewery is a company owned and operated by 2 former inmates with over 30 years of prison experience. Now graduated back to the real world, a vision that was born behind the walls and fences is taking shape and becoming a reality beyond the confines of the federal prison system.

We believe that breaking free of the prison mindset is the first step.

Have there been closed doors and mile high hurdles along the way? More than you can imagine. Will there be more? Absolutely. Think of the reality of our situation.  Designing a plan while in prison, taking that plan and turning it into a real business. And not just a business. A business built on unique character and distinguished quality. Our unique character will help us turn any future roadblocks into minor detours. After all, when you’ve been one of the 7.3 million incarcerated Americans, you know all about challenges. But we all know, the proof is in the beer. Try any of our beers and you will immediately taste what we mean by distinguished quality.

We don’t plan on walking this road alone. We are putting ourselves in a position to help others that that have been previously locked up and have now made a solid decision to change paths for the better. Along the way, we will be working with others who have returned and want something better for their families as well as themselves.

Building a company, giving back to our communities, coming back the right way...and brewing some damn fine beer. That’s what we are about.

Prison Break Brewery has made declarations to assist those like us who have a criminal past.

  • Our first declaration will be to provide 5% of our profits to organizations that help children of those who are incarcerated, help women who are victims of violence, LGBTQ victims of violence, and families of law enforcement officers that have been killed in the line of duty.

  • Our second declaration will be to fill the required positions needed as the company grows by hiring those men and women with a criminal past, keeping in line with the Second Chance Hiring Initiative. We will accomplish this by launching the Prison Break Brewery Foundation and relaunching our Apprenticeship Program. The goal is to train people in the brewery business and give them a career path away from crime.
