In 2022, the global in-store or brick-and-mortar retail channel generated an estimated 20 trillion U.S. dollars in sales. Total retail sales (online and offline retail) worldwide amounted to around 25.8 trillion U.S. dollars that year. By 2026, it is estimated that the value of e-commerce retail sales will reach 9.4 trillion U.S. dollars on a global scale.
