Bridger-Teton National Forest Plan Revision
Phase 1 of the Forest's Land Management Plan revision starts with a draft Assessment document and includes additional required documents as well. Following public review, a draft revised Forest Plan proposal will be produced in 2024, beginning NEPA.

Silver Lake Dam Rehabilitation
The Silver Lake Irrigation District has proposed to rehabilitate the dam, inside the Bridger Wilderness, that supplies the water under their state water rights. State engineers have rated the dam's hazard at high. Proposal to raise dam & outlet work.

Amendments to Land Management Plans Regarding Sage-grouse Conservation
The Forest Service is considering amending its land management plans to address new and evolving issues arising since implementing sage-grouse plans in 2015. This project is in cooperation with the USDI Bureau of Land Management.

Big Sandy WUI Hazardous Fuels Reduction
Treat up to 3,000 ac to improve forest health, protect infrastructure and egress within the Big Sandy wildland-urban interface area and portion of the West Slope Winds roadless area. Actions include thinning, sanitation, salvage and pile burning.

Curtis Canyon Road and Campground Project
The Jackson RD proposes multiple projects in the Curtis Canyon area. It includes improving the drainage and surface on NFS Rd 30445, expanding the developed campground, and relocating the Goodwin Lake trail and trailhead. Comment period closed 3/3/23

Dell Creek and Forest Park Elk Feedgrounds: Long-Term Special Use Permits
Wyoming Game & Fish Commission requested continued use Dell Creek and Forest Park feedgrounds for their long-term winter elk feeding activities. Elk are fed hay between mid-Nov thru April. The Draft EIS is available. Comments due Jan. 16, 2024.

E-Bike Use Designation on Select Jackson Area Trails
Proposal to allow Class 1 e-bikes on 28 miles of existing trails, currently open to mountain bikes in the summer, in the Teton Pass area and extend the season of e-bikes use on trails in Horsetail Crk & Munger Mtn area. Scoping comments ended 10/30.

Greys River Range Improvements 2021-22
The permittees propose to build two drift fences on the Grover- Blaney allotment, a corral extension on Spring Creek Allotment and one wing addition to corrals on Little Greys Allotment to improve livestock distribution and collection during round up

Greys River Roadside Vegetation Treatments
The district proposes various treatments to increase fuel breaks along busy roads. These treatments support fire management that is economically efficient, responsive to land management objectives and provides for public and firefighter safety.

Gros Ventre Corridor Livestock Trailing (formerly Robinson Trailing)
Livestock trailing activities along Gros Ventre Road to private lands. May include temporary facilities and overnighting of herd on USFS lands. This review covers potential trailing requests from different operators. Each requires specific plan.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Recreation Enhancements Project - 2023
Project proposal: replace Sublette lift; construct and modify ski runs, traverses, terrain parks, and visitor-service facilities; develop summer recreation opportunities; avalanche control infrastructure; fuels reduction.

Melody Ranch Reciprocal Easement
A reciprocal easement between the United States and Melody Ranch Investments I LLC to maintain historic public access to NFS lands between Game Creek and Wilson Canyon.

New Fork Lake Dam Project
New Fork Lake Irrigation District has proposed to rehabilitate the New Fork Lake Dam at current location to meet statewide safety requirements and increase water storage to improve the availability of legally-secured water to downstream users.

Porcupine Creek Vegetation Treatment
The forest, collaborating with BLM and WGFD, proposes to broadcast burn approx. 1400 acres to reduce conifer overstory and promote Aspen suckering. Desired vegetation conditions include reduced fuel loading and improved desirable wildlife habitat.

Rosie's Ridge Repeater Replacement
The Bridger-Teton proposes to install a new radio repeater on Rosie's Ridge. Teton County, WY would continue to use the existing repeater.

Union Pass Farm Bill Salvage Project
Commercial timber harvests in a suite of silvicultural treatments using mechanized equipment; pre- and non-commercial thinning to improve stand condition, including whitebark restoration; aquatic organism passage and road re-alignnment on FR370637.

Upper Gros Ventre Wildlife Habitat Enhancement
To utilize prescribed burning for the regeneration of aspen stands, reinvigoration of forb communities, and the maintenance of grassland meadows in year-round habitat, winter range, and migration routes for a variety of big game species.

Astoria Bridge Replacement
The Snake River Sporting Club Improvement and Service District proposes to replace the existing damaged bridge with a new two-lane bridge, about 28 ft wide and 375 ft long.

Big Munger Trail - Upper Reroutes
The Jackson Ranger District proposes to realign sections of the Big Munger Trail to lower grades, as well as furrow in the deep sections of trail and add new drainage to prevent future erosion, in partnership with Crosscut Trails and Forestry.

Fremont Lake and Skyline Drive Road Improvement
Federal Highway Administration and Forest Service will rehabilitate deteriorating pavement conditions, correct drainage issues, and improve safety on 4.2 mi of Skyline Drive to upper parking area of Elkhart trailhead and 1.5 mi of Fremont Lake Road.

Elk Ridge Complex Rangeland Supplementation
Proposal to graze cattle on 4 former sheep allotments: Elk Ridge, Lime Creek, Rock Creek, and Tosi Creek. These allotments would be grazed by currently permitted cattle in the Upper Green River Area.

Proposed Dog Leash Amendment
The Jackson Ranger District is continuing the leash law requirements enacted in 2016 in the Cache Creek, Nelson Drive and Teton Pass areas. Special Order 04-03-334 was signed on February 28, 2023.
