Cops are looking for a man who repeatedly harassed an Asian man and his 10-year-old son in Queens, in an incident investigated as a coronavirus-related hate crime, authorities said Saturday.
The 47-year-old victim and his son were at the corner of 70th Avenue and Queens Boulevard at around 6:50 a.m. on Thursday, when they were approached by a man decked out in a camo getup, police said.
“You f–king Chinese,” he shouted to the man, sources said.
“Where’s your f–king mask” he said over and over before pushing the victim in the back of the head, police sources said. The camo-clad man fled on foot, and the victim and his child were not injured.
The incident comes days after similar anti-Asian attacks in Manhattan that the NYPD is investigating as coronavirus-related hate crimes.
On Tuesday night, a 59-year old man was walking south on Madison Avenue near East 104th Street around 9 p.m. when he was kicked in the back by a teen, causing him to fall to the ground, police said.
“F–king Chinese coronavirus,” the kid shouted before telling the victim to go back to his country, according to sources.
The 59-year-old told cops it wasn’t his first encounter with the teen, who spat in his face and said Chinese have coronavirus last Saturday, police sources said.
Cops arrested a 13-year-old boy on Friday evening and charged him with assault as a hate crime and aggravated harassment as a hate crime for the attacks.
Also on Tuesday at around 9:30 a.m. in Midtown, a 23-year-old woman was slugged by an unhinged woman on 34th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues., cops said.
“Where is your corona mask, you Asian b—h,” she yelled as she punched the other woman, according to sources.
The 23-year-old was taken to Bellevue Hospital with a possible dislocated jaw, sources said. Cops are still looking for the slugger.
