CHARLESTON, W.Va.—Americans for Prosperity- West Virginia (AFP-WV) today announced the group’s second round of candidate endorsements for the 2022 election cycle. These individuals earned AFP-WV’s endorsement through their demonstrated leadership and dedication to principled policy solutions to help improve the lives of all West Virginians.
AFP-WV State Director Jason Huffman Released the following statement:
“It is crucial to support key policy champions and activate grassroot activists to return them to Charleston to continue their good work. Likewise, when elected officials demonstrate that they are unwilling or unable to take a principled stand against special interests, it is incumbent upon grassroots leaders to find and support candidates who will. We are excited to mobilize grassroots activists and encourage voters across the state to support key legislative champions so that we can rapidly realize our shared goal of making West Virginia a better place to live, work, and raise a family.”
The organization will actively support:
Geoff Foster (LD-20): Delegate Foster currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the House Government Organization Committee. His leadership has driven significant efforts to cut needless red tape standing in the way of West Virginia entrepreneurs. His principled and proven approach to regulatory reform has broken down barriers for all Mountaineers. It is crucial that he return to office to continue fighting for critical reforms in Charleston and be a strong voice for West Virginia values.
Daniel Linville (LD-22): Delegate Linville serves as the Chairman of the House Technology and Infrastructure Committee. He’s one of the key policymakers working to close the digital divide in West Virginia, having sponsored multiple principled pieces of broadband legislation. And his work in this area is having a deeply positive impact on the lives of every West Virginian.
Jodi Biller (LD-23): Jodi Biller is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and has partnered with AFP-WV as a grassroots activist helping to drive key reforms in the state house. If elected, she’ll use her considerable health care experience to cut needless red tape standing in the way of our hometown medical heroes, helping West Virginias have more access to better health care at a price they can afford. She also supports the state’s Right to Work law and will be a champion for worker freedom in West Virginia.
Toni DiChiacchio (LD-78): Toni DiChiacchio is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and has partnered with AFP-WV as a grassroots activist helping to drive key reforms in the state house. Her advocacy helped lead to significant health care policy wins that took a principled approach to breaking down needless barriers standing in the way of West Virginians and the better, more affordable care they deserve. If elected, Toni’s experience as a medical provider will empower her to continue cutting needless red tape in health care.
Buck Jennings (LD-84): As a member of the House Health and Human Resources Committee, Delegate Jennings has long championed common sense health care reforms that cut needless red tape in order for West Virginians to have more access to better health care at a price they can afford. He also helped to champion the Hope Scholarship Act, which made West Virginia the gold standard for educational freedom in the nation. He is a principled leader that Mountaineers need in the legislature to continue transforming our state in to a better place to live, work and, raise a family.
John Hardy (LD-97): As Assistant Majority Leader, Delegate Hardy has been a strong voice for principled policy in Charleston. His leadership on educational freedom and breaking down barriers to prosperity in the state have been invaluable to the people of the Mountain State and have represented a guiding beacon for his colleagues in the House. It is crucial that Del. Hardy return to office in order to keep fighting for common sense West Virginia values.
Mark Maynard (SD-6): Senator Maynard is the Chairman of the Senate Government Organization Committee. In this capacity, he is a key leader working tirelessly to break down barriers and cut needless red tape that is holding West Virginians back from reaching their full potential. As a leader and principled policymaker, it is imperative that Sen. Maynard return to office to keep fighting to make our state a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
Jay Taylor (SD-14): Jay Taylor has deep experience in issue advocacy and is a long-time grassroots activist who, if elected, will play a vital role in helping to drive transformational policy change in Charleston. His dedication to principled policy and common-sense approach to issues make him well positioned to defend our shared West Virginia values as a state senator.
