Urgent prayer needed

As the situation worsens in this country, please join us in praying for:

  • more opportunities to bring the Gospel to the people through media.
  • life transformations and testimonies through the radio programs.
  • open hearts and minds of those listening to the programs.
  • radio programs to reach as many people as possible.
  • radio listeners to learn about the God’s Word.
  • lives to be changed for God’s kingdom.
  • believers to be bold in their faith.
  • safety for believers.

Afghanistan is a very difficult place to do face to face ministry and, with approximately 12 million children between the ages of 4 – 14, has a relatively high child population. The Tide will be working in cooperation with another ministry to get the Gospel to the next generation in Afghanistan by producing weekly radio programs for broadcast into Afghanistan through the TWR Silk Road medium wave transmitter.

The goal is to broadcast gospel content into Afghanistan in the Dari language so people can hear and understand the Gospel in their own language. The pastor of a church that ministers to Christian Afghan refugees in another country will oversee the recording and production of the radio programs and will work alongside trained discipleship workers in Afghanistan to connect with and disciple listeners who respond to the program.

While it may take time for the gospel seeds planted in the hearts of people through these radio programs to come to fruition, our expectation is that the broadcasts will be heard by spiritually hungry people throughout Afghanistan. Listeners will be invited to call a phone number provided during the program to speak with a counselor who can answer their questions and hopefully lead them into a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
