With more than 200,000 hospitality workers out of a job now in our state, the need for immediate assistance has probably never been greater.

In these unprecedented times, the call to action is being heard around the country.

“People need direct action. People need to pay bills. People need access to cash and resources,” said Kris Boros, the Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Sip Science, a national analytics hospitality company.

With the closure of casinos, restaurants, and bars, people are out of work.

The United States Bartenders Guild Charity Foundation is a resource for those dealing with hardship. Sip Science is using its platform in the industry to harness its power and raise awareness and necessary funds.

“This is the time to be industrious and provide ingenuity and come together as a country as we always do,” Boros said. He said his company created a GoFundMe Page to raise $100,000, immediately. “People need material impact,” he added.

All the money raised goes to USBG, where people who worked serving, promoting, distributing or producing alcoholic beverages can apply for assistance. “It was exciting to see Jameson putting $500,000 to this charity foundation as well,” said Boros.

Though Sip Science’s app, Sip, hasn’t even launched in Nevada, Boros said Nevada is directly impacted by Coronavirus and now is the time to help.

“We’re small but mighty and we’re doing everything we can. Each individually contributed and we also started up a campaign with $5,000 out of our capital from our start-up fund. So, we’re trying to do as much as possible and add every dollar from our own coffer as we can.”
