Anna Thorvaldsdottir
Composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music. Her powerful and striking sound-world is deeply inspired by the landscape of her native Iceland, as she creates through her music both the delicacy and the immensity of constantly changing natural processes. Thorvaldsdottir’s “seemingly boundless textural imagination” (NY Times) has won her awards from the New York Philharmonic, Lincoln Center and Nordic Council.
