A late-night screening of Stanley Kubrick's cult film about extra-terrestrial life, with an extraordinary soundtrack featuring the music of György Ligeti.

After uncovering a mysterious artefact buried beneath the lunar surface, a spacecraft – crewed by two men and the supercomputer H.A.L. 9000 – is sent to Jupiter to find its origins.

The film is distinctive as a predominantly non-verbal experience. Director Stanley Kubrick uses classical music, including Ligeti’s Lux Aeterna, Requiem and Atmospheres plus works by Richard Strauss, Johann Strauss II and Aram Khatchaturian, to guide the audience within the story.
