Presidential Search

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) is conducting a search for its fourth President. Its third president, Dr. Paul Czarapata, departed in February; currently, Dr. Larry Ferguson, President of Ashland Community and Technical college, is serving as KCTCS Acting President until a replacement is selected. This page provides information about the Presidential search including various resource materials and updates.

The Association of Governing Boards has been selected by the KCTCS Board of Regents to assist with the national search.

Finalists Announced

Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) Board Chair Mr. Barry Martin announced today the finalists for the position of KCTCS President.

The finalists are:

Dr. Dean McCurdy, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana

Dr. Beverly Walker-Griffea, President, Mott Community College, Flint, Michigan

Dr. Ryan Quarles, Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture
