About this Seminar
An accurate diagnosis is the foundation of effective, efficient, and equitable medical care. Doctors get the diagnosis right in about 90% of encounters, with individual and systems factors accounting for the 10% gap. What steps can a clinician take to enhance their skill at answering the fundamental question in medicine: What is causing my patient's symptoms? This lecture will provide an overview of 10 different methods clinicians can adopt in the quest to become better diagnosticians. The lessons and approaches have implications for reasoning, judgment, and decision-making in all professions.
