Maury Strauss Distinguished Public Lecture: Breeding Crops for Resilience to a Changing Climate
Date: Oct. 20, 2022
Time: 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. (Reception and hors d'oeuvres at 5 p.m.)
About this Seminar
The rapid advance of genetic technologies has provided new tools to generate crops that are resilient to climate change, resistant to infection and that can better sequester carbon. Dr. Ronald will discuss the development of climate-resilient rice varieties, the genetic basis for plant resistance and CRISPR-mediated strategies to enhance carbon sequestration of rice.
