Laura Spivey Kabiri, PT, DPT, PhD

Dr. Kabiri is full-time teaching faculty in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Physiology program at Rice University. With over a decade of experience in higher education, her primary teaching responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Human Physiology, Human Anatomy, and Medical Terminology. She has created several novel courses at Rice including Movement Disorders, Human Physiology Lab, and a virtual dissection laboratory component for Human Anatomy. Dr. Kabiri has received multiple teaching and mentoring awards including the national Sam Drogo Technology in the Classroom Award as well as the local Lovett and Scholar Athlete Favorite Professor, Baker Best Professor, Distinguished Faculty Associate, and Office of Academic Advising Excellence in Academic Advising Award (Divisional Advisor). She loves her job.
