CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A few hundred people on Wednesday demonstrated in the Loop against President Trump while criticizing the U.S. Senate for not kicking him out of office.

With a winter storm setting in, they started at Federal Plaza and marched toward Trump Tower.

Teri Bradley of Chicago carried a sign that read, "Impeachment Trial and State of the Union: Theater of the Absurd and Reality TV."

"He needed to be told what he did is wrong. For people like (Republican Sen.) Susan Collins to say, 'Oh, I think he learned his lesson’ -- no, he didn't. Because nothing happened to him. Nothing happened to him, so how did he learn his lesson?"

She says she realizes that it's all over, and Republican senators won't take much notice of a demonstration in Chicago's Loop.

"It's an exercise in frustration and keeps me from bursting into tears crying."
