Before joining the faculty at Sacred Heart, René was the Associate Director of Teacher Education and Interim Director of Teacher Education at the University of Connecticut’s Neag School of Education. René was a high school special education teacher before pursuing doctoral study.

Research & Grants
Dr. Roselle’s research and scholarship focuses on teacher education, clinical preparation and school-university partnerships. René served on the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education’s (AACTE) Commission for Clinical Practice (CPC), was a member of the AACTE Leadership Academy faculty, and serves on their Meetings and Professional Development Committee. Roselle co-edited Education in a Democracy: A Journal of the NNER and has served on the National Network for Educational Renewal’s Governing Council. She is actively engaged with the National Association for Professional Development Schools serving on their Communications Committee as well as the Policy, Advocacy and External Relations Committee. Most recently, René has been named to Board of Directors for the National Center for Clinical Practice and Education Preparation (NCCEP).
