Four National Championships to be Awarded Over Two-Week Span in Individual Stroke Play and Team Match Play

ANNIKA Award and Haskins Award presented by Stifel Winners to be Announced Live on GOLF Channel  

STAMFORD, Conn. – May 20, 2021 – NBC Sports presents nearly 30 hours of live coverage, including 24 hours in primetime, of the 2021 NCAA Women’s and Men’s Golf Championships over the next two weeks on GOLF Channel, beginning on Monday, May 24. Coverage of the women’s individual stroke play national championship gets underway Monday at 5 p.m. ET on GOLF Channel from Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The NCAA Women’s and Men’s Golf Championships will award four National Championships over the two weeks in both individual stroke play and team match play. GOLF Channel will present live coverage of the announcements of the ANNIKA Award (May 25) and Haskins Award (June 1) winners on College Central, which honor the nation’s most outstanding female and male Division I collegiate golfer. Stifel recently signed a multi-year extension as the presenting sponsor of the ANNIKA Award and Haskins Award as well as the NCAA Golf Championships telecasts.

NCAA WOMEN’S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS

The field for the 2021 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championships has been finalized and the No. 1 seeds are: LSU, Georgia, Florida State and Stanford. Arizona State will serve as the host of the championships. Click here for the full field of participants.

The 2021 NCAA Women’s Golf Individual Champion as well as a representative selected from the winning team will each receive an exemption to compete in the LPGA Tour’s 2021 Marathon Classic Presented by Dana, taking place July 8-11 at Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania, Ohio.

ANNIKA AWARD AND HASKINS AWARD WINNERS

The winners of two of the most prestigious awards in college golf – the ANNIKA Award and Haskins Award, both presented by Stifel – will be announced live on GOLF Channel. The ANNIKA Award will be announced on Tuesday, May 25, on College Central at 4:30 p.m. ET. The winner will receive an exemption to compete in the 2022 Amundi Evian Championship in France, one of the LPGA Tour’s five major championships.

The Haskins Award will be announced on Tuesday, June 1, on College Central at 4:30 p.m. ET. The pair of awards honor the nation’s most outstanding female and male Division I collegiate golfer as selected by their peers, coaches and the golf media.

EAST LAKE CUP

The East Lake Cup, taking place in late October at historic East Lake Golf Club, will feature the top-performing teams from the 2021 NCAA Women’s and Men’s Golf Championships. Invitations for the field will be extended to the semifinalists of the team match play rounds at both championships. Modeled after the NCAA Golf Championships, the format for the East Lake Cup consists of an opening round of stroke play to crown an individual male and female champion and to determine seeding for the following two days of match play competition. GOLF Channel will air exclusive live coverage of the competition.

PGA TOUR UNIVERSITY

The inaugural class of PGA TOUR University will be finalized at the conclusion of Men’s Golf Championships individual stroke play on Monday, May 31. The top-five finishers will receive Korn Ferry Tour membership and be exempt into all open, full-field events beginning with the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation on June 10-13, while players finishing 6th-15th will receive membership onto one of the PGA TOUR’s International Tours: PGA TOUR Latinoamérica or Forme Tour.
