Welcome to my shop! There's a range of media and styles from different times and places-Vermont, California, Texas, Colorado and now back in Connecticut/New York where my family has a long history. On the practical side are the house numbers and ceramic pieces as I tap into my dad's handyman energy. My work is inspired by nature, my yoga practice, and an interest in sacred geometry.
For many years, I focused on oil painting and the possibilities of clay, exploring the energies between spirit and nature. Fascinated by the interactions between color and texture in the natural world, my work is inspired by nature, my yoga practice, and an interest in sacred geometry. Now I am experimenting with various kinds of clay, glazes and little gems for mosaic along with painting.
In 2006, I began a directed collaboration in Bishop, CA. A group of students, volunteers and friends worked together to produce hundreds of tiles depicting local wildlife for a mural on the library. We shared stories as we worked the clay, connecting with the diverse community, celebrating our fascinating region and creating a lasting memory.
