Join us for our 2nd annual Youth-Focused Job Fair. This event will feature employers who hire high school youth and above. The event is open to the public.

Terrell Recreation Center -City of Allen, YMCA of Dallas/Plano, Plano Family YMCA, Camp Skylark, and TX Workforce Solutions.

If you are a foster/adopt/kinship family, we have monthly respite events for YOU! The Local Good Center offers foster/adopt/kinship families a parent’s morning out a couple of times a year. We have trained, background-checked volunteers who give children a safe night of activities and fun.

Join us for a healthy cooking class in the Local Good Center Kitchen. This is a FREE, family-friendly class. Our cooking classes focus on providing access to nutrition education for the community in need. In May, we will be learning healthy meal-prepping strategies.

We have a panel of four experts in foster care to train volunteers how to better serve our foster/adopt children.

6-week Citizenship Test preparation classes are taught in easy English to help students prepare to pass the citizenship test and interview in English.

NO Childcare. NO Legal immigration services or application assistance provided.
