Vizio OLED + Elevate Bar
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new vizio venture into oled display really hits it out of the park. I have 2 4k tvs and neither of them can come close to creating blacks like this TV. Everything looks crystal clear and exactly how it is suppose to. There is no shadowing or other pixels that aren't on point with this TV. Burn in on the screen is a real thing though. I wouldn't recommend having something in the middle of the screen for an extended period of time. I would buy this set over if I needed another tv. This is certainly up there with the lg oled cx series that costs much more. Paid it with the vizio elevate soundbar everything is seamless and works great! All I did was plug it all in and hook the soundbar to the tv on the stand and it fit together great. Couldn't ask for a better product.

An Excellent Way To Enter The World of OLED
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While I've been a videophile for the longest time, I never had the opportunity to purchase an OLED television due to the technology's price. As everyone knows, they're expensive televisions. I've seen several in-person comparisons between OLEDs and QLEDs in recent years, but this is the first time I've been able to pull the trigger and purchase one. I looked through LG, Sony, and Phillips for OLEDs. I went through several reviews on TVRtings.com and other credible sources. I ran into the issue where I wanted an upgrade from my 55" Samsung LED, but I also wanted an increase in size. While LG, Sony, and Phillips had great options for OLEDs, they put me in the bracket of another 55". But then I saw this VIZIO, which took me by surprise. I didn't know they had made an OLED Television. It wasn't a brand I wanted to go with, but with the 65" being on sale for $1500 and the reviews being solid, I decided to make the purchase. Let me get to the point which I'm sure you're curious about: this television has EXCELLENT picture quality. With an OLED, you're getting pure black, you're getting the individual pixels with their own lighting, and you're getting an infinite contrast ratio. I use it specifically for 4K UHD Blu-Rays and watching films. I also use it for some streaming television shows here and there. The films I have seen have looked absolutely beautiful and if you've never seen an OLED you will instantly notice a significant bump in picture quality. Both films and television shows look absolutely gorgeous, especially when you're watching this in a dark room. With this television, you get the benefit of being able to take advantage of both HDR10 and Dolby Vision, which is an incredible benefit as most manufacturers take one or the other. The color gamut is outstanding and colors look natural and the contrast gives the image incredible depth. The television has outstanding grey uniformity and for the most part, will not present any issues for casual users. I've seen films like Aquaman, Tenet, Dunkirk, and The Dark Knight (all on 4K UHD Blu-Ray) and they have all left me in awe. It's like watching the film all over again. Overall, there are plenty of more pros than cons with the picture quality. It's quality that even videophiles should be absolutely pleased with. VIZIO did an excellent job fo this being their first OLED and I'm sure it's raised some alarms at LG and Sony. However, no television has perfect picture quality. A common fact about OLEDs is that they don't get as bright as QLED televisions. When watching HDR content calibrated for an accurate picture, you're getting probably 550 nits, which isn't an incredibly bright image. It can hit a peak brightness of 800 nits, but you probably won't be getting an accurate picture with the footage. If you don't care about having an accurate picture (i.e. colors and content looking like the creator intended), it may not even be an issue for you. Finally, while this television does have excellent grey uniformity, but when testing it I did notice some very mild vertical banding (1-2 mild vertical bands). I have 50 hours with this television, so this may be something that goes away, but it is a common downside of OLEDs and you kind of have to play "panel lottery" when you make the purchase hoping you get a solid one. I have only noticed it very briefly when watching one scene Dunkirk, but this was literally two seconds. If you're a casual watcher, you won't notice anything. VIZIO has kindly introduced a screen refresher option and pixel movement to fix any issues with the image that may result from burn-in (an issue that is common with ALL OLED televisions). The audio on this television is mediocre at best. It could be a lot clearer and a little bit louder. It's definitely not the best audio I have heard and it can be a bit discouraging when you're paying this much money. You'll definitely want to purchase some soundbar to accompany this television. People have complained about the software, stating it is buggy or sluggish. As of January 2021, I have not had any issues with it at all. The interface is fast, snappy, and responds very well. I'm sure LG and Sony have a better interface as they've been in the game a bit longer, but I've not had any issues with the VIZIO software at all. Finally, there has been a mixed response with the variable refresh rate (VRR) on this television. As you can see, several of the reviews on this site alone cited frustration with not being able to play games at 120hz. However, as of January 2021, I've seen several people state that they've been able to play games on the new consoles at 4K at 120hz. I've also continued to see people who say they can't. I have a gut-feeling they don't have their inputs set correctly on the television or console. If some people are able to play it, it must be a functionality that can be accessed. Prior to all the firmware updates, I fully acknowledge people could not do it. Several of the reviews on here were correct at the time they were written. While I'm a gaming enthusiast and have a gaming PC, I have not used this television for any gaming as I primarily use it for my home theater. So if you want this for gaming, you may want to do more research to see if the VRR is fully functional. I'm thinking at this point it is, but please double-check. Overall, I would rate this television a 4.5/5. I kindly rounded up and gave it five stars on here due to the excellent quality, excellent price, and awesome implementation from VIZIO. I've had it for two weeks and there have been no significant concerns. Videophiles should be pleased and casual viewers will definitely be blown away. I'm looking forward to seeing what VIZIO does with OLED in the future.

Great Picture Quality. Some small quirks.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ungraded my main TV to this 65" unit. The screen is really thin and the base is fairly easy to put together. Quick start guide is actually useful. Before I hooked up an input, I powered it on to set date, time, get updates, etc. The menu's don't seem the be in 4K which was a little worrying at first seeing the text not displayed "crisply". Some of the features in the 'Advanced Picture' menu are also not accessible. I hooked in my Xbox One X and after fiddling around with the picture settings on both the One X and the TV, the thing looks amazing. It's a HUGE upgrade from the 65" 1080 Samasung I had. Couple of things though. My receiver is old enough to not have ARC or eARC. in order to get sound to my receiver, I hooked in an optical cable from the TV to the receiver. The TV only outputs a stereo signal from the TV. I was forced to wire the optical cable straight from the Xbox to the receiver in order to use my 5.1 surround. This also means if I want to cast to the TV, I had to run RCA cables (remember those) from the TV to an analog input on my receiver in order to get sound. Not a deal breaker because I use my Xbox for everything anyway. If you're asking why I didn't wire the HDMI to the receiver then the TV, the reason is the receiver won't pass a 4k signal through. I tested it and it will only pass a 1080p signal. Like I said, it's an older receiver and that kind of defeats the purpose of the TV. Call of Duty MW, Halo 5, and Rocket League all look amazing. That being said, for some reason, the TV REALLY freaks out when you try and launch Destiny 2. Here is a youtube link of what I'm talking about. That is the only game it does that with. https://youtu.be/8fDkUwH_YaY I even reinstalled Destiny 2 and it still has that problem. The pictures don't really do the TV's image quality justice. Hope this helps people.

Vizio H1 OLED, OMG!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After returning the LG NanoCell 85 Series 75” (so very disappointing) I bought this wonderful Vizio H1 OLED Picture is plenty bright and the Picture looks amazing. I cannot get over the clarity and depth and colors like I’ve never seen before. I just don’t see how it can get much better than this. (Enter 8K) At and incredible $1500 price tag, it is more than worth every penny. I’m not a gamer, so not worried about burn in. And don’t listen to all the tech geeks. TV looks incredible. And I guess with the new programming, they got all the bugs out. Cause I don’t see any. Go ahead and get yourself a OLED. Experience the best. Of course my picture will not do it justice. But you can imagine. 2/09/2021

Good picture once setup properly.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box the tv is subpar with how the settings are made, searching online for some general guidelines helps alot with this. You definitly need atleast 2 people to setup the tv and move it, also wires are a bit annoying to setup in the back of the tv. My model came with alot of screen lines that were visible in low contrast content. This was fixed after watching about a couple nights worth of sd content. O.S is decent, but its really annoying how limited it is. Dosent have crunchyroll and or a webbrowser available. I mention crunchyroll as they will be merging the funimation app into it, making the funimation app obsolete and unusuable. You also have to reboot the t.v frequently when doing streaming sessions with the tv's smarcast o.s as the t.v will refuse to load. Its good to have another system like a p.c or console to use because of this, though you will probably have to find some converters to hdmi 2.1 from displayport to use with pc's as only now its becoming standard with them to have it on graphics cards. I also use this with a soundbar so cannot atest to the quality of the speakers on the back. Got this at a steal of 890 as they were trying to liquidate in store models, which is the cheapest you'll find for the size and type of tv this is. Get the insurance plan just in case if you do use this as a monitor for a pc, since burn in is large problem with these older models and the tv wont enter rest mode if you leave another system on in the input.

Great OLED
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unbelievable value for an OLED. This TV is amazing. Picture quality was nothing short of the LG or Sony OLED. Love the build quality and cable management that came with the tv. I can see where the negative reviews came in about the Software/Apps. But all you really need is a good fire tv stick or roku and you're set.

Great budget OLED
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this with expectations and those expectations were met with 120 frames per second when playing my favorite games down to the Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision support giving more clear pictures and vibrant pictures and when paired with the elevate soundbar you’ll have a beautiful setup but with some draw backs as the tv does seem to have slight issues here and there at startup the tv took a while to turn on which I at first thought the tv just kept turning on and than turning off, and forget about wall mounting the tv it is a pretty hefty tv and I really don’t trust any mount at this time to hold this tv up the tv stand holds it up well but at an angle facing up which I still to this day don’t know how to adjust or if there’s an adjustment and lastly the tv doesn’t come with a how to guide on building the stand so it took a long while to finish setting up the tv in my room but all in all the tv performed extremely well honestly a lot better than expected if your looking for a great smart tv with vibrant and smooth and sharp pictures and OLED for less than $1k look no further as this is a great option just has its set backs the gaming is even great aswell as I have it connected to my PS5 and it is running the games at 120 frames in 4K and we’ll there’s some getting use to if your use to 60 frames but it’s a nice feature to have

Affordable OLED
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up for $1,499 on sale and could not be happier with this purchase! Most of the issues early reviewers had with this TV have been fixed with firmware updates and OLED truly is a huge improvement over LED. My previous set had full array local dimming with 64 zones and I thought the performance was good, but this H1 OLED blows it out of the water. This TV, especially when on sale, is an excellent value and the little boost in performance you may get with the LG CX is not worth the $500 difference.
