Charging Connectors for Safe and Fast Charging

As part of our HIVONEX portfolio, we offer three types of charging inlets. Combined Charging Systems 1 & 2 (CCS1 & CCS2) for the European, North American, and Japanese markets and GB DC charging inlets for the Chinese market. Our HIVONEX charging inlets enable fast and secure charging of your hybrid and electric industrial and commercial vehicles, ensuring the ruggedness your customers require out in the field.

Part of the HIVONEX portfolio, our charging sockets are modular, so you can customize the product to your specific requirements. With various cable exits directions available, these connectors adapt to your design, not the other way around. Capable of 10,000 mating cycles, while charging up to 80 A (at 250 VAC), and at 500 A (1000 VDC), these charging inlets are designed specifically for the rigorous requirements of industrial and commercial vehicles. This means larger cable sizes than what’s seen in the Automotive market – up to 120mm²  DC / PE 25 mm² / AC 16 mm². 

 

Accurate and rapid temperature sensing is highly important in charging inlets for the protection of the end user but also to deliver the maximum charge power to the battery. We integrated PT1000 temperature sensors in our charging inlets as the charging plug must remain below 90°C to protect consumers that will interact with the area and accurate temperature sensing feedback will enable the system to maximize the charging time.   

The integrated actuator prevents the plug from being pulled apart from the inlet until the charging cycle is over. 

 

The HIVONEX CCS1 and CCS2 charging inlets can be equipped with optional protective flaps to help keep out debris and high-pressure spray.
The LED charging indicator option is available so that your end user can quickly identify when the vehicle is actively charging.

 

Our charging inlets are available in kits and various pigtail cable assembly lengths to ease your supply chain and manufacturing processes.
