In her second season in Oxford, Maggie Scott helped the Rebels was part of the best turnaround in Division I Volleyball. Ole Miss improved from 1-19 in 2020-21 to 21-9 in 2021, a 65 percent increase in winning percentage. Further, of the teams who competed during the shortened 2020-21 season, Ole Miss was one of two Power Five teams and five programs nationally to see a 20-plus win improvement from the previous year. She assisted in the Rebels’ return to the Big Dance, helping Ole Miss go 8-3 through its final 11 games to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Under Scott, the Rebels broke multiple program records, including total team blocks in a season (479), total team block assists (427), team attacking percentage (.255) and winning percentage (.700). As a team, Ole Miss finished tied for fifth in the SEC in 2021 with 10 conference victories, including sweeps of Missouri, South Carolina and Alabama. Scott also helped Anna Bair, Kylie McLaughlin and Sasha Ratliff earn AVCA South All-Region honors following their 2021 campaign.


Scott wrapped up her first season in 2020-21 bringing in a PrepVolleyball.com All-American as a part of Banwarth’s first recruiting class. She guided setter Gabby Easton to a strong junior campaign where she ranked eighth in the SEC with 8.91 assists per set. Easton also tied the program’s single-match record with 57 assists against Alabama, to rank fourth all time in the rally scoring era.
 
A three-time Pac 12 All-Academic Team selection and an All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention All-Freshman Team honoree, Scott arrives in Oxford after spending the 2019 season as an assistant coach at La Salle University in Philadelphia, where she headed the team’s offense, floor defense, and recruiting. Her 2020 class recruiting efforts were awarded as an honorable mention in Prepvolleyball's top recruiting classes, the highest in program history. 
 
Under her tutelage, the Explorers’ Katie Wood was tabbed A-10 Setter of the Year for the second-straight season, a first for the program. Wood was also named First Team All-Atlantic 10 and garnered the program’s first-ever AVCA All-Region honor. 
 
Scott guided a total of five Explorers to league plaudits, including freshman libero Rachel Hess, as La Salle took home a conference-high eight end-of-season awards. Under Scott’s guidance, the Explorers posted an opponent hitting percentage of .204, their lowest mark in 12 seasons, and earned the program’s first-ever postseason berth, playing in the NIVC. 
 
Prior to her time in Philly, the St. Louis native joined Northumbria University in Newcastle upon Tyne, England for the 2018-19 year. She played for the school’s volleyball team while earning her master’s degree and serving as an intern with the school’s strength and conditioning staff. 

A four-year starter and two-time captain at Oregon, Scott exited Eugene as one of just four players in program history with over 3,000 career assists, finishing with 3,369. She guided the Ducks to four consecutive postseason appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
 
Scott graduated from Oregon in 2018 and her twin sister, Jackie, also played collegiately and is in her third season as assistant coach at Villanova.
