Story
In January 2020, my Grandma, June, passed away to Alzheimer’s Dementia after a stoical battle against the disease. I have always wanted to do my bit for her and to give back to Alzheimer’s Society, and after recently finishing my A-Levels, I decided now is the time to take action!
Art and illustration is a great passion of mine, and something which I believe can truly be used to help support and heal those in times of need. From putting a smile on a relative’s face, to triggering a response from my Grandma when she had Alzheimer’s; creating has been a constant for me throughout.
So in the month of July I have challenged myself to create 31 illustrations in relation to Dementia, in the hope of spreading the awareness and importance of Alzheimer’s Society! A society where those affected by Dementia are supported and accepted and able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
I hope you can join me on my fundraising journey in memory of my Grandma, and I would be extremely grateful for any support along the way!
