Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are the Salty Sappers, a team of 4 serving members of the Royal Engineers (Sappers). Over Christmas 2021 we will be rowing 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua in the Caribbean, competing in the world famous Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge (TWAC).

The challenge will see us rowing 2hrs on 2hrs off for around 30-40 days. We will endure all that the Atlantic can throw at us; huge seas, seasickness, blisters and fatigue. The aim of this event is to showcase the resilience and fortitude of the Royal Engineers.

As an added element of the event we are raising money for two incredible charities. The Royal Engineers Association (REA) and the Royal British Legion Industries.

To achieve this we need your support. We know 2020 has been a monster of a year! We appreciate all that you might be able to donate. We promise that we will pay you back in sweat and effort!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
