Certified Credit Union Investments Professional (CCUIP) Designation

Hone your investment expertise

This designation demonstrates mastery of the essential knowledge needed to manage and guide credit union investment. With this designation, you'll have recognized skills to review and evaluate your credit union's investment portfolios and processes.

This designation can be earned by completing the following steps:

Step 1: Register for the CUNA Investment Certification School: Fundamentals

Option 1: Online eSchool*
Option 2: Face-to-face Fundamentals only

Step 2: Pass the Fundamentals exam

Step 3: Register for the CUNA Investment Certification School: Advanced

Option 1: Face-to-face Advanced only
Option 2: Face-to-face Fundamentals & Advanced (this option provides a discount for those who want to attend Fundamentals and Advanced in the same week)

Step 4: Pass the Advanced exam

Past attendees recommend:

  • Taking Fundamentals & Advanced in the same calendar year because the Advanced curriculum builds on the Fundamentals curriculum.
  • Taking Fundamentals & Advanced together face-to-face because presenters and tutors are available for individual help in person, and it is easier to remember the Fundamentals curriculum while attending Advanced in the same week.

*This eschool, as well as many others, are available to CUNA Training Bundle users at no additional cost.

This certification is beneficial for senior management-level finance professionals, CFOs, CEOs, and anyone else with an interest in credit union investment strategy.

Certified Credit Union Investments Professionals (CCUIP) designees must recertify every three years to ensure knowledge about investments is current.

Step 1: Register for the CUNA Latest Trends in Investments eSchool.

Important notes:

  1. Each person that wants to recertify needs to register for the eSchool.
  2. To customize your educational experience, you only need to attend or watch 8 of the 11 webinars in the eSchool to recertify.

Step 2: To self-report your recertification, login at cuna.org, go to My CUNA, then to My Designations.

Dates and more information will be posted here as they become available. If you have questions about recertifying this designation, please call 800-356-9655 or email hello@cuna.coop for assistance.
