Freedom of Religion and Belief Training

Welcome to LIVE WHAT YOU BELIEVE, an interactive media-based training series to equip leaders and professionals to support freedom of religion or belief. Created in partnership with Empower Women Media and other advocacy organizations, our training explores how freedom of belief is good for peaceful, prosperous, and thriving societies.

In 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was unanimously adopted by all member states of the United Nations. Article 18 states:

"Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance."

What We're About

Many organizations already do a great job documenting and publicizing the tragic cases of religious discrimination and persecution around the world. While our series acknowledges these human rights violations, our focus is to draw attention to what is not being talked about enough - the many positive benefits of the universal right of freedom of religion, belief and conscience.

“Cultivating freedom of belief unleashes creativity and innovation which is needed more than ever in our increasingly global world.”

- Jacqueline Isaac, International Attorney

Our Training

In the four episodes, which are each only four minutes long, the film series explores freedom of belief and how it contributes to peaceful and stable societies, empowers women, and encourages business and innovation. Discussion questions and curriculum accompany these docudramas. Our media-based workshops range from 90 minutes to a half day, and our goal is to educate, empower, and equip influencers about the benefits of religious freedom.
