Two U.S. Army Soldiers Will Compete in Trap Shooting at 2024 Olympic Games

March 21, 2024 - Staff Sergeants Rachel Tozier and Will Hinton of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit qualified in Olympic Trap for the 2024 Paris Games during USA Shooting’s Shotgun Olympic Trials - Part 2 in Tucson, Arizona March 11-17.

77th Army Band performs for Enid High School
March 20, 2024 - Cheers filled the auditorium with joy and amazement as students and faculty at Enid High School were able to enjoy the radiant music from the 77th Army Band, "The Pride of Fort Sill!", on February 28, 2024. This assembly gave the students the opportunity to enjoy live music and take a break from their studies. The band performed popular hits and shared their talents as they presented their “Why We Serve” concert.

South Carolina National Guard Wins U.S. Army Small Arms Championships
Staff Sgt. John Jordan of the South Carolina National Guard won the title of 2024 All Army Champion at the U.S. Army Small Arms Championships at Fort Moore, Georgia March 10-16. Jordan’s team, South Carolina Alpha, also claimed the title of 2024 U.S. Army Small Arms Team Champions.

Two Fort Moore Soldiers Qualify for a Second Event at the 2024 Olympic Games
U.S. Army Sergeants Sagen Maddalena and Ivan Roe compete in the USA Shooting Smallbore Olympic Trials Part 3 March 17-19 at Fort Moore, Georgia.

Both Soldiers earned spots on the 2024 Paris Olympic Team in the Women's and Men's 50m Smallbore events. Both Fort Moore Soldiers are marksmanship instructors/competitive shooters for the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit International Rifle Team.

Roe, a Manhattan, Montana native, is also qualified to compete in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event in Paris as well. This will be his first Olympics.

Maddalena, a Groveland, California native, is also qualified to compete in the Women's 10m Air Rifle event in Paris as well. This will be her second Olympics. She competed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and placed 5th in 50m Smallbore.
March 17, 2024 - U.S. Army Sergeants Ivan Roe and Sagen Maddalena qualified for the 50m Smallbore event at the 2024 Olympic Games during USA Shooting’s Smallbore Rifle/Pistol Olympic Trials-Part 3 March 17-19.

USAMU Soldier inducted into SEC Women's Legends Class of 2024
Sgt. Allison Weisz, an instructor/shooter assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, and a Ole Miss alumni is inducted to the Southeastern Conference Legends class of 2024. Tiffany Daniels, the associate commissioner of the SEC, walked on stage with Weisz and presented her with the SEC Legends trophy at the Ole Miss vs. Florida game during the 2024 SEC Women's basketball tournament at Greenville, SC on March 9,2024.
March 15, 2024 - On March 8, 2024, International Women’s Day, Sgt. Alison Weisz, stood before the fans of her alma mater to receive the honor of being inducted into the Southeastern Conference Women’s Legends Class of 2024. With this recognition, Weisz, a Soldier in the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, joined a legacy of women who have competed and excelled at the highest level of their respective sports.
