Tip Top Tux’s 12 Atlanta Savvi Stores Closed Suddenly.  All other Savvi stores are OPEN and operating and are entirely unaffiliated with Tip Top Tux, LLC.

BACKGROUND

Tip Top Tux LLC (“TTT”) owns only the Atlanta Savvi Formalwear stores and operates no other Savvi-branded stores in the United States.

The stores affected by this closure are only the stores that were owned and operated by TTT, including Dapper & Dashing (MN), Nedrebo’s (WI), Al’s Formal Wear (TX, CO), American Commodore (OH), Dream Dress (IA), Anya Bridal (GA), Tip Top Tux (IA, KS, NE, SD) and ONLY the Atlanta Savvi Formalwear stores.

TTT, LLC was a member of a Cooperative (which licenses the brand name “Savvi Formalwear” to its members). This US-based cooperative is comprised of individually owned and operated retail stores and formalwear wholesalers.  Some co-op members’ locations operate under a proprietary brand, and some operate under the Savvi Formalwear brand.

TTT only owned the Atlanta Savvi Formalwear stores.  All other Savvi Formalwear stores are independently owned and unaffiliated with Tip Top Tux. All other Savvi Formalwear stores are open and operating and are located in St Louis (MO), Columbia (MO), Quincy (IL), Springfield (IL) and Joliet (IL), and Raleigh (NC). These stores are ready and willing to help with your formalwear needs.

BBB Guidance

We are incredibly saddened and outraged by the abrupt closure of the Tip Top Tux stores. We understand the hardship TTT’s abrupt store closures have had on TTT’s customers and employees.  If you are an existing TTT customer, the Better Business Bureau recommends taking the following steps:

  1. Call your credit card company immediately and file a dispute on the credit card charge until more information becomes available from TTT.
  2. Collect receipts, proofs of purchase, and other relevant documents. These materials will help you prepare for your request for a resolution.
  3. Try to contact TTT to complete the transaction or resolve the issue. Frequently, closed companies will offer an email, website, or phone number to contact for more information. TTT has corporate offices in Atlanta (phone: 877-644-5502 and address: 1 Glenlake Pkwy. NE., Atlanta, GA 30328). Tip Top Tux, Inc also has an office located at 500 Floyd Boulevard, Sioux City, Iowa 05110.
  4. Periodically visit the company’s website and social media presence for information (tttux.com).
  5. If the company has not filed for bankruptcy, the business is still obligated to fulfill your order for goods, services, or a refund. Closing a business doesn’t relieve the owner of that responsibility. While it can be time-consuming and expensive, a consumer may take the company to court.
  6. If you have unused gift cards, bankruptcy filings will likely determine if and how they can be used or claimed.
