YBCA 100 Summit

April 3, 2021 11:00-12:15pm PST

Join us on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 11:00am PT to celebrate our honorees at the YBCA 100 Summit, taking place this year as a virtual theatrical convening on a brand new virtual platform, OhYay. Immerse yourself in a joyous and communal experience featuring musical performances, stories, visual art, rituals from our honorees, and more.

During the 75-minute Summit, audiences will learn more about how YBCA is evolving to serve communities, and get to experience a conversation between Tony Award winner, Bay Area native, and former YBCA 100 honoree Daveed Diggs and YBCA CEO Deborah Cullinan on how artists can lead the way.

The Summit kicks off with artist, musician, and YBCA Chief of Program of YBCA Meklit Hadero who will sing a new song titled Here to Imagine. We will highlight some of our honorees from the Bay Area and beyond, including Alice Sheppard and Kinetic Light, Tahirah Rasheed, Youth Versus Apocalypse, Ijeoma Oluo, Margo Hall and SOMA Pilipinas.

Hosted on the Ohyay platform, this “choose your own adventure” event offers every audience member opportunities to explore different rooms and the 75-minute Summit at their own pace. More details to come on what to expect on this adventure!

Learn more about this year’s honorees and join us as we turn the spotlight on the people doing work in service of a more equitable and just society.
