Virginia Tech Department of Biological Sciences is pleased to host the inaugural Robert E. Benoît Distinguished Lecture with Dr. Steven Wilhelm on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 3:30 PM in Holtzman Alumni Center Auditorium. Attendees are invited to stay for a reception after the talk.
The title of his talk is “Viruses and Cyanobacteria in Fresh Waters: A Molecular Biologist’s Tales.”
This event is free to attend. Preregistration is encouraged but not required. We have also provided an option to make a gift at check-out for those who would like to contribute. All gifts will benefit the Robert E. Benoit Distinguished Lectureship.
The Robert E. Benoit Distinguished Lectureship in Biological Sciences was established by members of the Lambda Chi Alpha Alumni Chapter at Virginia Tech, which includes alumni from both Sigma Omega Tau and Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternities, in memory of their former advisor, Dr. Robert E. Benoit, associate professor emeritus of biological sciences at Virginia Tech.
