Hoy, un tribunal federal otorgó un bloqueo preliminar a una ley que prohibiría el aborto en Carolina del Sur a las seis semanas de embarazo – periodo cuando pocas personas se percatan de estar embarazadas.

“Aplaudimos la decisión del tribunal de proteger a las personas de Carolina del Sur de esta prohibición al aborto. A pesar de esta victoria temporal, reconocemos que todavía existe camino por recorrer conforme la lucha para proteger el acceso al aborto se intensifica día con día. Dejémoslo claro, hay políticos a lo largo y ancho del país que no se detendrán hasta que el acceso al aborto desaparezca por completo. Desde la confirmación de Amy Coney Barrett a la Corte Suprema, hemos sido testigos de un sinnúmero de ataques – más de 300 proyectos de ley sobre el aborto han sido presentados.
