Compassionate care
and a firmly embedded family ethos

Stroud Avenue, Short Heath, Willenhall WV12 4ET

Introducing Willow Rose

Conveniently located just one mile from the centre of the market town of Willenhall, Willow Rose is a luxury new care home offering state-of-the art facilities and quality care for up to 73 residents.

The home achieved five good outcomes at its first CQC inspection and opened its doors to welcome in new residents just as the UK went into lockdown. While the timing was challenging, the exceptional circumstances, and initial staff-to-residents ratio, enabled the team at Willow Rose the time and opportunity to firmly embed MACC Care’s family ethos and values, right from day one.

Beyond putting robust procedures in place to keep everyone safe, this meant going the extra mile to ensure maintained contact between residents and their families, and the outside world. For good mental health and emotional wellbeing, we introduced a range of activities – socially distanced, including gardening, an art club, even hatching some chicks so we could enjoy fresh, free-range eggs. Many of these activities continue post-pandemic and the wonderful community spirit – a sense of pulling together to get through challenging times – lives on at the home.

Warm and welcoming, our highly experienced nursing and care team supports each resident, whilst helping them to retain as much independence and choice in their daily routine as possible.

Award Winning

MACC Care is proud to be recognised as a ‘Top 20 Care Home Group’ in the carehome.co.uk Care Home Group Awards 2024. This accolade is based on reviews from residents or service users and their family or friends, and is testament to the dedication of our teams and commitment to quality care within our care homes.

“Achieving this careful balance doesn’t happen by chance, but involves taking the time to get to know you – or a loved one – as an individual and developing a care plan that best reflects your care needs and personal preferences.”

Debbie Pugh, MACC Care Regional Manager

Home highlights

What makes Willow Rose unique?

  • We’re animal lovers at Willow Rose – our four-legged friends Bonnie the Bichon Frisse and rescue Greyhound Rosie (both staff members’ dogs) are regular visitors and a great hit with residents
  • We’ve welcomed ‘Macc’ the group’s therapy dog too, not to mention llamas, Shetland ponies, hatching chicks, ducklings… and there’s even talk of getting a micro-pig!
  • For ongoing assurance, infection control measures at Willow Rose gained NHS designated setting status for post-Covid admissions. This means that should the Covid situation evolve over the coming months we are exceptionally well placed to ensure safety and wellbeing for all in our community.
