Cedar Island is in post-production on the hybrid animation documentary, NORTHLORE, with directing team Melaina Sheldon and David Hamelin for NFB, CBC and NorthwesTel. They are in production on THE SALMON'S CALL for Knowledge Network, a thought-provoking documentary told from the Indigenous perspective delving into the pressing issue of the declining salmon in British Columbia by up-and-coming director Joy Haskell. Andrew also recently produced on Screen Siren’s feature doc REVIVAL69: The Concert That Rocked The World for Crave/ARTE/Telefilm.

It also screened at VIFF (Vancouver), RIDM (Montreal), IDFA (Amsterdam), Cinequest (San Jose), Riviera (Italy), Doc Edge (New Zealand), Bergen (Norway), FReDD (Toulouse), COP26 (Glasgow) among many others and was considered "one of the Top 10 documentaries coming out in 2021" by Doc Weekly.

Cedar Island also co-produced THE SEARCH, a feature documentary for the CBC with Shaman Films, plus a handful international service productions in British Columbia and the Yukon, including scripted programs for ZDF and ARD Degeto. Their first Canadian/German feature doc co-pro THE WHALE AND THE RAVEN (ZDF/ARTE/NFB) by Mirjam Leuze opened DOK.fest Munich in 2019 and won the WIFTV Artistic Merit Award at VIFF, Best Feature Film at DRIFF and the Science Communication Award at the CineMare Int’l Ocean Film Festival in 2019 and was successfully released by Mindjazz Pictures on over 40 screens in Germany.

The company's two principles, Henrik Meyer and Andrew Williamson, have the privilege of successfully producing film, television and digital media content for several decades. With this wealth of experience, they are now focused on building on their work with filmmakers who may not have the same access to funding and audiences. Cedar Island is in development on a diverse slate of projects from exciting new voices, together with robust international partners.

Henrik and Andrew are passionate about creating content with purpose -- particularly about critical and timely subjects like the environment, LGBTQ2S+, diversity, equality and inclusion.
