We celebrate Earth Day worldwide every year on April 22. Here’s an Earth Day recycle art project that can be adapted for kids of all ages.Earth Day Recycled Paper Plate

While your youngster is diving into the project, help them understand the importance of Earth Day and why it is celebrated. Here is a list of talking points to get  you started:

  • Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970, and now includes events in more than 193 countries.
  • How does recycling help the earth?
  • What can you recycle?
  • Conserving energy is good for the earth. How can you help to conserve energy?
  • What is something our family can do to reduce trash?

Supplies for your Earth Day recycled project:

Let the Earth Day art begin!!

    1. Print and cut out the Earth Day and Globe Logo patterns. Depending upon the age and ability of the child, this may be an adult contribution to the project.
    2. Trace the pattern onto the plate.
    3. Cut the pattern from the plate. Again, this may be an adult contribution.
    4. Now, turn your child loose, and let them create their Earth Day art. For the youngest artist, just gluing the pattern to the plate may complete the project.
    5. Here are three interpretations from a seven-year-old.
