Zoe just moved to New York City from South Carolina and is having a difficult time adjusting to the city. She misses her old home, but with a little help from her dad, Zoe figures out that writing about her new home makes things much better.

“Love, Zoe” is written by Sydnee Monday and Illustrated by Callaloo co-creator Nabeeh Bilal.

“They Wore Glasses”
by Nabeeh Bilal

Zoe comes home from school very sad because some kids at school have been making fun of her glasses. She tells her mama that the kids have called her mean names and told her that cool people don’t wear glasses. It’s up to her mommy to cheer her up and teach her that lots of cool people wear glasses and that she’s already cool.
