Our Founder’s Story—Selling Online
My entrepreneurial journey started when my brothers and I, all avid Laker fans, started selling basketball hoops online at SuperDuperHoops and then on Amazon. We quickly grew from $100 thousand in sales in 2002 to $1 million in 2003—10X growth in one year!
It Was Challenging Then…
Amazon was already on track to dominate the ecommerce world. But they wouldn’t make it easy for their sellers (like us) to grow with them. Policy changes, platform upgrades, and a constantly adapting algorithm required a ton of trial and error to navigate. Loss-leading competitors with bigger and bigger advertising budgets threatened our existence.
Our story has a happy ending. We grew to be a top-200 Amazon seller. We figured it out through grueling hard work, tons of investment, and lots of mistakes.

With an impressive track record as an Amazon Consultant spanning over 10 years, he has impacted over 250+ companies, guiding them to achieve successful brand launches, sustainable growth, and brand protection on the Amazon platform. Shannon previously launched the Amazon Brand Success Academy, which focused on empowering businesses to thrive in the dynamic marketplace. A true educator at heart, Shannon’s passion lies in sharing principles for success with clients and colleagues, creating a positive impact on the industry and transformative success for sellers.

With over 20 years of experience working with small businesses and startups, she has leveraged her organizational, analytical, sales, and marketing skills to take ownership of new or broken processes, create scalable methodologies, and build support systems. Before Avenue7Media, she completely overhauled the sales and business development functions for a global services company, leading to an astounding 1,500+% average year-over-year revenue growth. Christina is pivotal in Avenue7’s effective management of the foundational business processes that ensure we meet our team’s needs and enable them to deliver on Avenue7’s mission of changing the lives of Sellers.

As the Director of Client Engagement, Leo’s expertise lies in navigating, educating, and aligning strategic goals for Sellers and Vendors, implementing a proven strategy to ensure profitable growth and success. Having built an Amazon agency and cultivated sustainable private label brands, Leo adeptly navigates the dynamic market landscape and effectively tackles challenges. During her tenure at Amazon, she played a significant role in launching compliance programs for Amazon’s private label brands and contributed to developing Amazon’s ISTA 6-A requirements. Leo’s passion revolves around establishing scalable processes to execute global brand strategies and propel her client’s brands to top-ranked sellers. Throughout her career she has supported over 500+ brands selling on Amazon and Walmart.
Malia Kim

As the Director of Presence, Malia is responsible for assisting Sellers in navigating the complexities of ecommerce marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart. She works on behalf of our Clients to mitigate performance and compliance issues, manage listing suppressions and channel control problems, and maximize their product’s availability. She has a diverse background, having previously served in various capacities within Amazon, such as the Direct Imports US and CA Team Lead for Escalations in Global Regulatory Compliance, as well as a Project Manager, and Rule Writer for the Restricted Products Team. Her focus is on providing clients with compliant and strategic approaches to responsibly sell on Amazon’s platforms, helping them fight back against unfair practices that may adversely impact their livelihoods.

Liz oversees Content & Creative, Customer Service, and On-Amazon Marketing teams, focusing on marketing tactics within Amazon, Walmart and other eCommerce Platforms. With an impressive 16-year tenure in eCommerce, Liz boasts extensive experience with Top 500 brands, excelling in DTC digital marketing and Amazon channel management. She has a proven track record of launching multiple businesses on Amazon, building effective teams and processes that have driven yearly Amazon revenue from $0 to 8 figures+ for the brands under her management.
