Professional speakers and the website were key benefits, fueling ongoing growth. Networking flourished, expanding into diverse markets like BBB Spring Market.

The Empower program provided a great opportunity to get up to speed on business fundamentals to help scale by business with the right tools and resources. The mentorship and financial advice provided were most helpful to enable me optimize certain aspects of my business.

What is Empower by GoDaddy?

Empower by GoDaddy is GoDaddy’s global community and philanthropic program equipping entrepreneurs in underserved communities with training, tools and peer networks to accelerate their journeys.

Better Business Bureau® Serving the Pacific Southwest (BBB) launched Empower by GoDaddy to deliver this education to Main St. entrepreneurs who want to ignite their venture. This multiweek program is a premier Main St. Accelerator and only accepts a limited number of applicants per cohort.

What does this program offer?

Empower by GoDaddy participants will graduate the program with the confidence and knowledge to skyrocket their business to the next level! The well-rounded program provides virtual training sessions, customized mentorship, and amazing networking opportunities.

Past participants received legal audits and advice courtesy of Snell and Wilmer and financial guidance courtesy of Desert Financial Credit Union. Emotional support, mentorship, and guidance provided by LifeGuides.

Educational resources, mentorship, and coworking were provided by BBB, and free technology products and technical assistance were provided by GoDaddy. We have awarded over 130k in pitch prize money throughout 7 cohorts!

Empower by GoDaddy is for Main St. entrepreneurs who want to take their businesses to the next level.

Compared to a business incubator, Empower by GoDaddy was created as an accelerator for those who wish to improve or scale their business. The program is geared toward entrepreneurs who need extra support in business operations, finance, legal, marketing, and digital media. Applications are being accepted from businesses operating in the BBB Pacific Southwest’s service area, which includes Greater Arizona and Southern California.

What is a Main St. Entrepreneur?

Main St. entrepreneurs are small business owners who make a big impact in the community! Small businesses comprise 99.9 percent of all U.S. businesses and are the unsung heroes keeping the heartbeat of our economy alive.

Main St. entrepreneurs are the types of businesses you’d see on a quintessential downtown street – from a florist to a mechanic, a salon to a coffee shop, tradespeople and every service professional in between.
