Art and nature collide in the fourth annual Art in Bloom presented by Barnes & Thornburg LLP & The Botanist Islay Dry Gin in the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields. Fifty fabulous floral arrangements designed by local, regional, and national florists will transform the IMA Galleries in the early days of spring with breathtaking displays inspired by works of art in the collection. Seven monumental showstoppers and 43 pedestals promise to captivate guests of all ages in the largest Art in Bloom yet. 

 

From Thursday, March 21 through Sunday, March 24 grow wild with live music, a signature cocktail selection with The Botanist Islay Dry Gin, floral demonstrations, docent tours, and a plant market. Don’t want to carry around your new plant? Check it into the Plant Hotel while you enjoy the rest of your visit. Top off your visit by making a flower crown in the Randolph H. Deer Special Events Pavilion. Flower crowns are $15 and can be purchased online in advance or onsite at Art in Bloom. 

 

Art in Bloom is your one stop shop for everything Newfields has to offer. Your Art in Bloom ticket includes access to all four floors of the Indianapolis Museum of Art including THE LUME Indianapolis featuring Dalí Alive and The Garden.

On Friday, March 22 from 6 to 8 PM, put some spring in your step and meet the florists behind the masterpieces at Meet the Designer Night. You’ll get the chance to see all 50 arrangements and mix and mingle with the creatives behind the arrangements. Meet the Designer Night is included with Art in Bloom tickets.  

 

New this year, awards will be given to the best of the best across three categories: Excellence in Art, Excellence in Nature, and Crowd Favorite. Vote for Crowd Favorite and be the first to see Art in Bloom 2024 at Behind the Blooms: Art in Bloom Opening Evening on Wednesday, March 20 at 7 PM. 

 

Following Art in Bloom, arrangements will be deconstructed and rearranged to be donated to Random Acts of Flowers.
