              I had a scammer steal $2500 from my venmo account and immediately disputed it with Venmo stating it was an unathorized transaction. They concluded I made the transaction without even doing an investigation. Oddly enough, they had flagged my account for fraud the same day and locked me out of it. I had to wait days to get it fixed to get back in to file the dispute. So, they knew it was fraud and still sided with the scammers leaving me out a considerable some with no recourse.

              Please believe the vast majority of reviewers here who also feel as I do - DO NOT USE VENMO AT ALL!!!! My experience with Venmo has also been THE VERY WORST OF ANY COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I contacted the company twice via email to say that a person I have never heard of is using my email for an account, and that I *** not authorize my email to be used for any Venmo account. Each time I received a reply steering me to general help topics! When you dial Venmo's phone number, it steers you to help topics and my experience was that after staying on the phone for several calls for about 10 miutes each and navigating to different prompts, NO LIVE PERSON EVER ANSWERED THE ****** AND THERE IS NO PROMPT TO SPEAK TO A LIVE REPRESENTATIVE. Someone is using my email for a Venmo account, and now it seems I will have to use the ************** **************************** to resolve this. It would have been a lot easier for Venmo to actually read my email request and personally respond that they were closing an account that was using my email without my authorization. If you are reading this and have been wronged by Venmo, please make the Public aware and share your grievances against Venmo!!
