Welcome to the Southern Glazer's C.H.E.E.R.S. to Diversity Scholarship Contest

You’ve likely never heard of Southern Glazer’s and that’s ok! We are one of the largest beverage distributors in North America and a leader in the hospitality industry. Diversity and inclusion are very important to our Company because having a diverse workforce helps make us a great place to work and enables us to do a better job selling our portfolio of products to our incredibly diverse base of customers. Specifically, our Company’s C.H.E.E.R.S. to Diversity program helps us achieve these goals, by creating a support network for employees to connect and identify ways to make ensure every individual has the opportunity to reach his or her fullest potential. In fact, C.H.E.E.R.S. stands for Connecting, Hardworking, Educating, Empowering, Respecting, and Serving.

We are incredibly proud to help make the 306: African-American History course available to your schools. Not only because we strongly believe that education leads to opportunity, but also because being able to respect peoples’ differences starts with learning – learning about different backgrounds, different perspectives, and different experiences that shape who we are. Our goal with this course is to provide you with a better understanding of the history of African-Americans in our country so you can connect those experiences to events happening today, as well as learn some of the skills necessary for you to have respectful and welcoming interactions with the diverse group of people you interact with every day. We are very excited to read your submissions and hear your ideas about how this course have inspired you to become diversity champions in your communities! Thank you in advance for your participation.
