Matteo Bonetti joined ESPN in August of 2018 as a soccer analyst primarily for international soccer and marquee international tournaments. He is also a studio analyst for ESPN FC, the daily soccer news and analysis program exclusively on ESPN+, where he shares insight on Serie A and other European leagues.

Bonetti first joined ESPN as a soccer writer for ESPN.com from 2008-2012 – the year he joined the new beIN Sport.

At beIN Sport, Bonetti served as a studio analyst, host, color commentator and play-by-play announcer covering major European leagues, international football and major tournaments such as the FIFA World Cup, Copa America, Africa Cup of Nations and the UEFA European Football Championship. In 2016 traveled to Qatar to host beIN Sport’s English-language studio shows for the UEFA EURO 2016.

Bonetti has also served as play-by-play commentator for TNT at the FIFA 19 eSports events, and he is the host and executive producer of the weekly Serie A CalcioCast podcast.

Bonetti is a bilingual Italian American born in Milan, Italy and raised in Miami, Fla.
