College Basketball Analyst

Dalen Cuff joined ESPN in 2016 as a college basketball in-game and studio analyst. In 2019, Cuff helped launch ACCN, and is a staple on the network’s 24/7 coverage.

Cuff is a regular in-studio across ESPN platforms anchoring a number of shows including ACCN’s nightly news and information show All ACC and In Play. He also is anchors ESPN and ACCNs college basketball wraps coverage throughout the season. In addition, Cuff serves as ACCN’s primary men’s soccer play-by-play personality during the fall.

He began his broadcasting career in 2006 as an analyst for the Columbia University Men’s basketball radio broadcasts, a role he took on after graduating and completing his playing career at Columbia University.

As a player at Columbia, Cuff was captain of the men’s basketball team his senior year.  He is ranked in Columbia history in games played, career three-point field goals made, three-point percentage for a single season and three-point field goals made in a season.

Prior to joining ESPN, he was a college basketball analyst for NBC Sports Network since 2012.  In addition to his responsibilities as a college basketball analyst, he worked for NBCSN and Comcast SportsNet New England (CSNNE) as a host and reporter.  The highlight of his time at NBCSN was being a reporter at the 2016 Rio Olympics.  He learned Portuguese in the two years leading up to the games and worked as a feature reporter providing American audiences an inside look at the unique Brazilian culture and history.

While working for CSNNE, Cuff hosted various types of studio programming such as nightly news/highlights, opinion, team specific magazine shows and pre/post game shows.  Prior to his time at NBCSN and CSNNE, he worked for Madison Square Garden Network in New York City. He primarily worked for MSG Varsity, covering the high school sports scene across the tri-state area as a basketball analyst, studio host and reporter.
