THE POSITION

The Department of Agriculture, PA Farm Show and Expo Center is looking for candidates for temporary, part-time Security Officer positions. If you are interested in working to help support the one-of-a-kind Pennsylvania Farm Show, this is the position for you. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

You would be responsible for performing security duties necessary for the protection of those in attendance at the Farm Show Complex, and Commonwealth personnel and property. Duties include directing traffic, collecting parking fees, greeting and assisting visitors, and patrolling the Complex and parking areas during the busy Farm Show season.

Positions are temporary, part-time without benefits, and located at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Security Officer positions are called to work on an as-needed basis, year-round. Farm Show Security operates on a 24-hour schedule so shifts and hours will vary, which may include holidays and weekends. This position is considered essential and as such is required to report to working during emergencies and office closings.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Part-time, temporary, and variable schedule as-needed; shift hours listed will likely be altered to meet business need.
Weekends and holidays may be required.

  • 1st shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • 2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • 3rd shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

No previous experience or training required.
