About Me
As a Caribbean native, there was a natural transition to the unique multicultural brilliance of the Floridian lifestyle. During my formative years of medical school in the Caribbean, I became aware of the serious and complicated nature of cancer, which fuelled my passion for the pursuit of a career in Hematology and Oncology. My innate desire to comprehend the dynamics of this destructive disease afforded me the opportunity to work with an extraordinary multidisciplinary team of professionals using an evidence-based approach as the basis for our medical practices.
My continuous pursuit of excellence in the fields of Oncology and Hematology has also assisted in the cultivation of astute leadership qualities which I relied on as Chief Resident at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center during my practice in New York. My fellowship journey has enhanced these leadership qualities and I was extremely delighted to be selected as Chief Fellow at Montefiore Medical Center.
Aside from my professional ambitions, my main role in life is to be a loving, devoted husband and father who extends the same level of compassion and commitment to all patients under my care. My ultimate goal as a medical practitioner is to ensure that every possibility, every option and all probable paths are closely examined so that I make the best choices in providing care for families.
