Thank you to everyone who has supported Frank’s challenge to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK. After rowing across the Atlantic Ocean and smashing his dream fundraising target of £1 million, Frank continued to receive generous donations for groundbreaking research. Having witnessed first-hand the devastating impact of dementia and understanding the desperate need to find a much-needed cure, Frank has decided to keep his fundraising page open and continue fundraising for Alzheimer’s Research UK. His new, ambitious fundraising target is a whopping £1,250,000!

We would like to give a special thanks to everyone for digging into their pockets and donating what they could to help Frank achieve his £1m target. Frank is incredibly grateful and couldn’t have done it without your support. And of course, our friends at Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation, for generously match-funding £500,000 worth of donations, helping Frank reach this huge milestone.

I am rowing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic as part of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge (TWAC), in support of Alzheimer's Research UK.

I like a challenge! In 2017, I spent five weeks on a deserted island for the Channel 4 programme, 'The  Island with Bear Grylls'. Before that I was only the 10^th person to ever circumnavigate North and South America. I've been searching for my next challenge and when I heard about the TWAC, an obsession was born!

I will be rowing alone and expect to take 60 to 90 days to complete the challenge. I will be setting off in December from the Canaries, with the hope of arriving in Antigua on Valentine's Day to reunite with my beloved wife, Judith.

I'll be carrying all of my own food and supplies, meaning my boat will weigh half a tonne! It will be tough, but my motto is 'you're never too old!'

I hope to raise £1 million for Alzheimer's Research UK. I'll be helped by the Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation, which has generously offered to match-fund the first £500,000 of donations. I am self funding this challenge therefore all money raised will go to the UK's leading dementia research charity.
