NFIB New Jersey Backs Pro-Small-Business Candidates for Legislature

Date: September 15, 2021

(TRENTON, NJ) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy group, today released its slate of endorsements for the New Jersey Senate and Assembly in the November election. NFIB NJ State Director Eileen Kean announced the bipartisan list of candidates, which was issued by the NFIB New Jersey PAC, the state’s most influential and effective small business political action committee.

“With main street businesses damaged and still threatened by the COVID-19 Pandemic, and the often-glaring inequities in the way small businesses have been treated by government compared to big box and online companies, it is vitally important that small business be well represented in Trenton,” said Kean. “I am pleased to extend the National Federation of Independent Business endorsement to these strong, pro-small-business candidates. Each has consistently shown a commitment to main street, free enterprise, and small-business owners and their employees.”

The endorsements are based on NFIB member input, candidate questionnaires, and the 2020-21 NFIB/NJ Voting Record. Members will be receiving in the mail an NFIB Voter Guide on the state candidates endorsed by NFIB, which will also be available online. It is more important than ever for small business owners to rally behind candidates who will support them.

“Small business owners all across New Jersey are experiencing regulatory, tax, and hiring challenges as never before,” continued Kean. “We will aggressively support these candidates who best represent our members and will fight for the continued growth and vitality of New Jersey small businesses. This election is too important for the business community to stay on the sidelines and accept the status quo and one-size-fits-all policies coming out of Trenton.”
