Qualifications

The NAB Leadership Foundation is seeking qualified students to join the Technology Apprenticeship Program (TAP) to receive valuable technical training and industry connections to become part of the next generation of broadcasting.


TAP Dates

If Accepted, Fellows Will Receive:

  • A technical education about engineering and technology in the broadcast, news and media industry from highly regarded professionals.
  • $500 stipend based on completion of program modules and attendance throughout program.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Practitioner training.
  • The Society of Broadcast Engineers training certificate.
  • Live production training in the cloud with Grabyo.
  • Career development opportunities to network with leading technology talent in the broadcasting industry.
  • Access to mentorship and growth opportunities to professional development.


Basic Qualifications

  • Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree or attending technical school with a focus on subjects in electrical engineering, software development or other related technical fields, including broadcast/video/audio production, IT, software engineering, cybersecurity and data science/analytics.
  • Basic experience or knowledge in electrical engineering, systems engineering, data science and analytics, web development, cybersecurity, information technology and information networking.
  • Passionate and interested in the IT, engineering and technology industries.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Self-driven with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NAB or the NAB Leadership Foundation.
