A Chinese-Australian family has been targeted by a racist vandal for the third time in a week.

The words “leave and die” were painted on Jackson’s garage at his home in Knoxfield, east of Melbourne, on Wednesday.

Vandals earlier sprayed another message reading “COVID-19 China die” and threw rocks at the family’s windows.

“We really hope these people can stop from here and nothing will happen in the future,” Jackson told 7NEWS.

Police believe the same people are behind the trio of attacks.

“Everyone should be safe in their own home and unfortunately for our victim, this has occurred on three separate occasions,” Detective Sargeant Daniel Taylor said.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews earlier condemned the vandalism as “awful behaviour”.

“There’s no place in our Victorian community for that sort of conduct,” he said.

“It’s just evil.

“At a time when we should be coming together and supporting each other, it needs to be called out for what it is. It’s just appalling, absolutely appalling.”

“I deplore that sort of behaviour against any Australian regardless of their ethnicity or their religion or whatever it happens to be,” he said.

Police are continuing to investigate the vandalism against Jackson and his family.
