Chanit'a Holmes is an applied microeconomist in that area of rural and regional development. She is interested in policy evaluation and factors that can improve individuals’ well-being and promote equity. Her research program broadly focuses on disparities in the labor market (e.g., employment and wages), education, and health by gender, race, or disadvantaged individuals. She is also interested in tools and mechanisms that can strengthen educational attainment within the region and internationally.
