- LIFE AT THE ELMS -

We focus and celebrate the personal needs of each resident creating a unique and person-centred care plan for each one of them.
Meaningful activities are designed around the resident’s needs, interests and hobbies.

Regular music therapy sessions are an essential element of our care delivery in our care home.
We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us.
Activities based on the senses such as touch, smell, taste, hearing and feeling are very effective for people with dementia as they do not rely on the memory or physical abilities of the residents.

We consider that each person an individual with different abilities. For that reason, we focus on and facilitate on things that a person can still do rather then what they cannot do.

We believe that remaining active is the key factor for each resident to feel alive, engaged and have purpose in life. We engage each resident in everyday activities based on their abilities.

We have group activities such as gardening club, quizzes and discussion club, baking club, craft club, film club, music, entertainment, movements and song, and reminiscence. We also have one to one activities for residents.
