Whether it's baking banana bread, learning to code, playing an instrument, or making a macrame pot hanger, many of us are trying our hand at learning new skills during lockdown. While we can’t travel right now, our sense of wanderlust hasn’t wavered — so we’re bringing more of our big beautiful world to you with new, weekly “virtual moments.”

Join us on Instagram and Facebook Live this Sunday, April 26 at 8.00pm EDT as Shoichi, one of our chief experience officers (CEO's) based in Japan, teaches us the ancient art of origami. From selecting the right paper and to how to do simple folding techniques, you’ll gain insight into the long history behind this traditional technique. Our virtual moments will also be hosted in our Facebook Videos archive and on YouTube for anyone who can’t catch them live.

Virtual moments are the latest online experiences to launch as part of our new suite of Virtual Travel Experiences. Future sessions will include salsa lessons from Ecuador, an introduction to speaking Italian, and a Vietnamese cooking class with a local restaurant in Hanoi. Inspired by "Your Moments" and experiences enjoyed by travellers on G Adventures tours, the new virtual moments cover everything from food and wellness to hands-on learning experiences.

You can check out this guided meditation, movement and nourishment virtual moment below, hosted by Wellness CEO, Edith, in Peru last weekend.

And in the meantime - please stay home, stay kind, and stay connected.
